Martello Building Consultancy provides Employer’s Agent services to clients throughout the south of England, for design and build projects.
We have extensive experience in Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM standards and ensure designers are coordinated and managed effectively, so that the most appropriate design solutions are implemented.
We establish the full scope of the project with you and compile employer’s requirements documentation to communicate clearly to your consultants and contractors, so that your project objectives and expectations can be met.
Martello Building Consultancy would manage the project risks in a proactive and practical way with realistic solutions for risk mitigation. We will provide a robust cost plan for the project and ensure it is proactively monitored and reported to our clients regularly.

Building Surveying

Project Co-ordinator
Martello Building Consultancy project managers are passionate about leading and delivering successful building projects, which is achieved by undertaking a ‘can do’ ethos for our client’s projects.
Every building project is unique; our approach is tailored to meet the needs of the client and the particular challenges of their project. We understand the responsibilities and complex interdependencies that exist in the dynamic environment of a developing project.

CDM Co-ordinator (CDM-C)
The role of CDM Co-ordinator, is required under the CDM Regulations 2007. Martello Building Consultancy CDM Co-ordinators are qualified and experienced construction health and safety professionals who will champion the safe delivery of your project. As your CDM Co-ordinator we will provide you with health and safety support and assist you with your legal duties under the CDM regulations.
A competent CDM Co-ordinator not only requires health and safety knowledge, but also an understanding of the construction process and project management. Martello Building Consultancy CDM Co-ordinators are qualified in both construction management and health and safety. This knowledge is vital to allow effective communication channels between the project team and assist you with all health and safety aspects, regulations and best practice.
Contract Administrator
Martello Building Consultancy will assess the specific needs of their clients and advise on procurement options, the types of tender processes and the nature and suitability of various forms of construction contract.
We can prepare tender documentation and oversee the tendering process. As Contract Administrators our duties include issuing all the necessary contract instructions/variations and chairing regular progress meetings and issuing of meeting minutes.
Quality Site Monitoring and Reports
Martello Building Consultancy can provide quality site monitoring and reports for our clients, during the construction phase. Our quality site monitors have the understanding, knowledge and experience of the construction process, which provides effective guidance to our clients on contractor performance and quality, during the build process.
The quality site monitor role includes the following duties;
- Contractor compliance with design and contract requirements
- Check drawings and drawing amendments
- Check the site works for quality compliance
- Check site testing and certificates
- Provide a robust site visit report
- Attend monthly site meetings
- Carry out snagging and report when works are ready for handover
- Inspect and confirm completion of any outstanding defects
